Fundraisers
Fundraising helps lower GYFA registration costs. This year, there are two mandatory fundraisers; the raffle ticket sales and the cookie dough sales. Some families have requested that we offer the ability to opt-out of these two mandatory fundraisers for a fee. The fee to opt-out of these two mandatory fundraisers is $75.00 per child, with a maximum of $125.00 per family. There are also a number of optional fundraising activities that are geared towards specific goals. A summary of the fundraising activities follows:
Raffle tickets (mandatory): This year's first prize is a WI system with a bunch of extras. This should be an easy raffle ticket to sell. We are already getting requests for extra tickets.
Cookie dough (mandatory): This is a sweet fundraiser with various prizes for top sellers and top selling teams. Get your neighbors and relatives ready! This fundraiser usually runs in August and September.
There will be a number of optional fundraisers for various reasons throughout the season. All of these will be optional and they are typically used to fund a special activity or event (ease the cost of hair-ribbons, subsidize end-of-season banquets, going to Regional or National Competition, etc).
